Description
In Tyrol, targeted support is available for individuals in need of assistance, care, and supervision, combining barrier-free and affordable rental apartments with qualified care personnel. The subsidy covers housing costs as well as expenses for professionally trained care staff, enabling independent living in one’s own home and delaying premature admission to care facilities. The initiative contributes to strengthening the self-determination and well-being of applicants and ensures a high quality of life in the long term. Ongoing funding opportunities provide continuity, while integration into existing care structures of the State of Tyrol guarantees professional support.
Eligible for funding are private individuals with primary residence in Tyrol who receive care allowance levels 1–7 or have submitted a corresponding application, as well as those without care allowance who demonstrate a need for assistance, supervision, or care, or have a social indication. Austrian citizenship or equivalence according to the Tyrolean Home and Care Services Act is a prerequisite. Applications can be submitted at any time from 01.07.2019 onward. Required documents include, among others, proof of insurance number, care allowance decision, residential address, income and housing costs, as well as a professional care confirmation if no care allowance is received. The funding covers rent and operating costs of barrier-free apartments as well as personnel expenses for care staff. Through this comprehensive support, people in Tyrol are enabled to live an autonomous and dignified life in their familiar environment.
