Support for Assisted Living

The funding of assisted living in Tyrol enables individuals in need of care and support, as well as people with disabilities and seniors, to live independently in the long term in their own barrier-free and affordable rental apartments despite requiring assistance. Eligible to apply are private individuals residing in Tyrol with an established need for care or support according to the "Assisted Living" guideline. The funding is granted as a direct subsidy and includes both a housing rent subsidy and personnel costs for qualified care services. Applications can be submitted continuously, ensuring flexible planning of assisted living.

The objective of this measure is to strengthen the independence and dignity of the participants by having professionally trained caregivers provide activating and supportive services. This aims to delay a move into a residential care facility for as long as possible. The provision of barrier-free apartments specifically designed for assisted living and targeted support promotes a self-determined life in one’s own home. Interested parties can obtain detailed information on the application process, funding amount, and legal basis from the Care Department of the State of Tyrol.
