Description
In North Rhine-Westphalia, the Maria Hilf Warstein Foundation offers medical students at the University of Bielefeld the opportunity to complete a one- to two-week block internship at the teaching physician practices Hausarztzentrum Rüthen and Wästerpraxis Warstein. A maximum of four students per year are supported, participating in the winter or summer semester 2025/2026. The aim is to provide practical insights into general medical care and to strengthen training in the healthcare sector. Interested students can plan their placement in one of the two practices and thus prepare for future challenges in everyday general medical practice.
Funding covers travel expenses in the form of a fuel voucher (€50 per week) as well as accommodation costs (up to €250 per week). Eligibility for funding requires enrollment in the human medicine program at the University of Bielefeld, completion of the internship at one of the specified teaching physician practices, and a written confirmation of the internship period from the practice. Furthermore, an invoice for the accommodation must be submitted. The application is informal and must include the period, chosen practice, and bank details. Submission must be made before the start of the block internship in the winter or summer semester 2025/2026 to ensure timely financial support.
