Description

For over 30 years, the Dr. Andreas Göller Foundation has been supporting non-profit initiatives throughout Germany with the aim of sustainably strengthening sports and sports-social youth work as well as emergency rescue and accident assistance. Non-profit associations, interest groups, and public institutions can continuously apply for grants to realize investment costs, equipment measures, or construction projects. The spectrum ranges from the construction and modernization of sports halls to projects promoting physical activity among children and youth, as well as equipping fire brigades, mountain rescue services, or the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) with life-saving devices. The foundation places special emphasis on projects that bring communities together and improve local safety infrastructure.

Eligible for funding are exclusively organizations with recognized non-profit status that are active in the sports or rescue sector. Eligible expenses include, among others, construction costs for sports facilities, acquisition of defibrillators within the framework of the AED Lifesaver Project, technical rescue equipment, and investments in publicly accessible outdoor sports facilities. Broad public accessibility and the voluntary commitment of participating initiatives are central to funding decisions. Through continuous support, projects are enabled that offer attractive physical activity opportunities to children, youth, and adults of all ages while simultaneously enhancing safety in emergencies.
