Funding objective

The objective of the funding under the Styrian Women's Promotion Act is to support women in accordance with relevant conventions, the Treaty of Lisbon, and EU directives, and to ensure equal opportunities and equality between women and men, in order to eliminate existing disadvantages and discrimination in society and to dissolve restrictive gender roles. The funding measures aim, among other things, to contribute to improving the living conditions of women within society by ensuring equal participation in all resources and responsibilities of society, achieving equal opportunities and equality for women in all areas of life, curbing female-specific poverty, guaranteeing protection for women against all forms of violence, and realizing equality in the workplace.

Description

The promotion of women-relevant projects by the State of Styria supports innovative initiatives in the fields of women's advancement, social cohesion, and social participation with non-repayable grants. Based on the Styrian Women's Promotion Act and the Styrian Gender Equality Strategy, it aims to dismantle discriminatory gender roles, eliminate disadvantages, and ensure the equal participation of women and girls in all social, economic, and political resources. This funding instrument seeks, among other things, to specifically reduce female poverty, guarantee protection against violence, and create equal opportunities in the workplace. Its design is aligned with relevant EU directives, the Treaty of Lisbon, and recognized conventions on gender equality.

Applicants may submit projects at any time before the planned start date; the deadlines for funding rounds are announced on the funding management website. Eligible applicants include, among others, interest groups, associations, companies, cooperatives, foundations, public institutions, start-ups, private individuals, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. Funding covers personnel expenses, material and travel costs, provided that the application and concept contribute to the objectives of the StFFG and the Gender Equality Strategy, ensure a high-quality offering, and strengthen regional networking. Evaluation is based on the contribution to gender equality goals, consideration of diversity, participation and sustainability, as well as innovation. Required documents include the current funding application, a de minimis declaration, activity report, proof of use, list of receipts, and the travel expense reimbursement form.
