Description
The funding for defibrillators and first responder equipment in Carinthia supports municipal institutions in acquiring life-saving technologies. Carinthian municipalities can apply for fixed publicly accessible defibrillator stations, mobile defibrillators, and first responder equipment to ensure comprehensive coverage of life-saving first aid. With grants amounting to €1,000 per defibrillator station and €500 per mobile defibrillator or first responder package, the goal is to reduce sudden cardiac death and accelerate first aid intervention by trained volunteers in emergencies.
Applications can be submitted continuously since 01.01.2018 using the official subsidy application form of Department 5 – Health and Care of the Carinthian State Government Office. Allocation is made on a first-come, first-served basis, taking into account the proportionality between municipality size and the number of devices requested as well as the planned installation locations. Required are a detailed funding application, signed funding guidelines, and proof of order and payment. After a positive review, a written approval or rejection follows, if necessary also as a partial approval. This program offers a sustainable opportunity to further expand the local first aid infrastructure and to protect the population in the best possible way.
