Description

The funding of non-profit employment projects supports non-profit organizations throughout Austria in creating temporary, protected jobs. The goal is the sustainable integration of hard-to-place individuals into the labor market. The Public Employment Service (AMS) covers defined personnel and material costs, thereby relieving non-profit projects and creating new employment opportunities. Funding is provided, among other things, for personnel expenses and material project costs, provided that the initiatives do not compete directly with market-based companies. As this is a direct grant, organizations receive predictable financial support to accompany unemployed and disadvantaged groups in the long term.

As a continuously announced measure, this funding enables non-profit organizations to submit applications flexibly without fixed deadlines. Only organizations recognized as non-profit and implementing labor market policy projects are eligible. The grants specifically target projects that support hard-to-place job seekers or disadvantaged participants on their path back to employment. By offering relatively protected jobs, individual skills are strengthened and sustainable prospects are created. Interested organizations can review the funding requirements and promptly submit an application to the AMS to overcome precarious labor market situations.
