Description

The Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport provides a continuously available funding opportunity in the form of grants, which are awarded Austria-wide to cultural institutions, interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, and individuals. International projects in the fields of visual arts, music, literature, film, design, architecture, and folk culture are supported. The aim is to enable artistic engagement beyond national borders while strengthening contemporary forms of expression and intercultural impulses. The support is directed at organizers of exhibitions, concerts, and symposia who plan and implement innovative collaborations with international partners.

This measure pursues the overarching goal of the departmental funding to firmly anchor contemporary art in society over the long term and to create stable framework conditions for artists. The grant not only facilitates the realization of individual projects but also helps build a sustainable network of national and international actors. Project outcomes are intended to provide space for current discourses and to make both cultural heritage and forward-looking trends visible. Thus, the funding makes a significant contribution to the diversity of the arts and cultural sector in Austria and encourages further initiatives within a globally connected cultural landscape.
