Description

The state of Schleswig-Holstein grants non-repayable subsidies to non-profit guardianship associations to support their cross-sectional tasks in accordance with § 15 BtOG. The aim of the funding is to strengthen information dissemination, recruitment and qualification of volunteer guardians, as well as counseling and networking within the local guardianship system. Applicant organizations must be recognized as guardianship associations pursuant to § 2 LBetrG, participate in the local working group according to § 5 LBetrG, and employ at least one full-time qualified professional. The requested funds (funding rate: 50%–100%) cover personnel expenses, material costs, training expenses, costs for professional literature, membership fees, and networking activities. Hospitality costs are excluded. The project duration is 12 months, with applications required by December 31 of the previous year and project start possible from January 1 of the following year.

The evaluation of funding applications is based on the quality of the project plan, the needs-based staffing of professionals, and compliance with guideline requirements. Required documents include the application form, a detailed guideline-based project plan, and the final proof of use. The funding aims to sustainably secure and further develop cross-sectional work in Schleswig-Holstein: from information campaigns and powers of attorney to training and exchange of experience. The subsidy frees up capacities so that guardianship associations can continue to professionally fulfill their central role within the state's social network.
