Description
Since 2017, the funding of energy consultations and concepts by the State of Styria has supported private and public actors, interest groups, associations, as well as – within the framework of the de minimis regulation – companies in advancing energy efficiency and renewable energies in the building sector. Three types of consultations are funded: telephone or personal initial consultations at advisory centers, comprehensive on-site building checks for single- and two-family houses, multi-family houses, or municipal properties, as well as special energy poverty consultations. A one-time indirect, non-repayable grant is awarded, which is deducted upon invoicing. Eligible costs include consultation fees, on-site checks, and travel expenses from a distance of 15 km; energy performance certificates, thermographic recordings, or additional services such as grant processing are not funded. Applications can be submitted until 31.12.2026.
Eligible participants include natural persons such as property owners, tenants, and authorized users, as well as legal applicants, for example municipalities, property management companies, and associations. A prerequisite is a location in Styria and implementation by listed energy consultants of the “Network Energy Consulting Styria.” Companies and associations may use the funding exclusively within the de minimis aid framework. Processing is carried out via the application form for energy consultation, copy of invoice, consultation protocol, payment request, and, if applicable, a de minimis declaration. The program aims to sustainably reduce heating and electricity costs, optimize energy-saving behavior, and make a substantial contribution to climate protection.
