Description
In the state of Tyrol, the State of Tyrol supports operators of approved childcare facilities in accordance with §§ 38a and 38b TKKG with direct subsidies for the legally mandated personnel expenses. Eligible applicants include public sponsors, non-profit organizations, companies, foundations, private individuals, as well as interest groups and other associations. The aim of the funding is to ensure the minimum staffing levels, including double staffing and management effort, as well as to support inclusion and holiday opening hours. The measure is valid until December 31, 2027 and is based on the provisions of the Tyrolean Child Education and Childcare Act. With funding rates between 40% and 90%, the volume is determined by the municipal financial capacity and significantly contributes to quality assurance and equal opportunities in early childhood education and care.
A prerequisite for funding is an operating permit pursuant to § 13 TKKG, compliance with group size and minimum personnel deployment or an approved deviation, as well as year-round operation without profit intention. Funding applications are submitted via the digital childcare database “KIBET,” with data entry required on the cut-off dates of October 15, January 31, and September 15. Eligible for funding are personnel expenses, double staffing, management activities, support hours, holiday opening hours, lunch service, and care for children from outside the municipality. Investment and infrastructure costs as well as expenses for a third caregiver from the 17th child onwards are not eligible. In addition to the KIBET data submission, the operating permit, organizational and child protection concepts, and current criminal record certificates must be attached to the application.
