Description

With a regional focus on Burgenland, the state of Burgenland supports associations, interest groups, private individuals, and other action groups in the implementation of cultural, sporting, ecclesiastical, touristic, and municipal projects. The funding covers the areas of culture, sports, regional development, culture & media, as well as agriculture & rural development, and provides continuously available funds as grants. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for flexible budget planning, for example for the acquisition of sports equipment, church renovation work, village center revitalization, media education workshops, or tourism initiatives. Both one-time project costs and investments in infrastructure are supported, thereby strengthening regional identity and touristic appeal alike.

The program aims to stimulate civic engagement and sustainably promote regional development. The funding requirements include a funding application with a detailed project description; submission of this document is sufficient to apply. Required documents include the fully completed funding application. The direct form of funding is granted as a non-repayable grant. Processing is carried out based on an individual decision by the state (reference number 1016906) through the Office of the Burgenland State Government with approximately 2,000 employees, ensuring prompt handling. Since 01.01.2014, the deadline has been indefinitely open; applications can be submitted at any time. This initiative sustainably supports local actors and individual projects and fosters a vibrant community life in rural areas.
