Description
Under the title Promotion of Measures to Strengthen Democracy and Tolerance, the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern supports projects that combat racism, antisemitism, antifeminism, and anti-democratic tendencies, and that strengthen democratic coexistence. In both analog and digital formats, regional centers, micro-projects, and federally coordinated initiatives promote a wide range of democracy education, preventive, and awareness-raising activities. In parallel, offers for the integration of migrants aim to reinforce social cohesion. The funding is divided into the thematic areas of education, migration, initial and further training, as well as work and social affairs, and is aimed at initiatives that generate impulses effective both locally and statewide.
Eligible to apply are natural and legal persons under public and private law who wish to implement their project in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and can provide own funds. Funding is granted as a subsidy; applications are possible until 31.12.2028. A prerequisite is a comprehensible plan, which includes a completed application form, a financing plan, a detailed project and task description, as well as a personnel suitability form. The approval is reviewed by the State Office for Health and Social Affairs Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for professional suitability and financial plausibility. Interested project sponsors receive all documents through the responsible authority to sustainably promote democracy, tolerance, and integration with their innovative approaches.
