Description

The Arnsberg District Government supports companies, public institutions, and self-employed professionals in North Rhine-Westphalia with the installation of stationary, controllable, and brand-new charging infrastructure that is exclusively available to employees at company locations. With a funding rate of up to 40% (up to 20% for large companies) and a maximum of €1,500 per charging point, the acquisition, installation, and grid connection of charging devices, power electronics, and associated communication and energy management systems are subsidized. Civil engineering work, foundation construction, assembly, commissioning, as well as upgrading existing grid connections and the electrical infrastructure up to the parking space including electricity meters are also eligible for funding. The objective of the measure is to strengthen electromobility in companies and public institutions and effectively reduce CO₂ emissions.

A prerequisite for funding is the binding commitment that the funded charging points are exclusively available to employees during regular working hours and that the electricity required for the charging process comes from renewable energy sources (green electricity supply contract or self-generation). Planning and installation must be carried out by a qualified specialist company in accordance with the Charging Station Ordinance. Applications can be submitted exclusively online until the available budget is exhausted, but no later than June 30, 2027. Decision criteria include proof of green electricity sourcing, professional installation, and availability of the infrastructure for employees. A cost estimate, the completed application form, and, if applicable, further evidence must be uploaded with the application submission. After positive approval, commissioning may only be carried out to maintain the funding requirements and secure the grant.
