Funding of Projects at Educational Institutions

The International Islamic Foundation – Education and Culture supports intercultural and integrative educational projects at schools, mosques, and communities throughout Germany with a 70% grant. The goal is the development and establishment of a contemporary Islamic pedagogy that brings together learners from all backgrounds and strengthens mutual understanding. Projects that align with the foundation’s objectives and demonstrate high quality, sustainability, and developmental potential are funded. A minimum own contribution of 30% of the total requested costs is required to emphasize the shared responsibility of the sponsors and the foundation. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing projects to flexibly respond to current needs and start promptly.

Eligible to participate are non-profit educational institutions and public sponsors implementing intercultural educational offerings or Islamic-pedagogical training programs with a clear German reference. The application package includes a completed funding application, a precise project description, a detailed financing plan, proof of own contribution, as well as consent and data protection declarations. The application review takes place in several stages: from preliminary examination by the board, through potentially necessary inquiries, to the final decision by the foundation. Evaluation criteria include alignment with the foundation’s goals, content quality, long-term impact, and scalability of the measure. With this funding, the foundation supports sustainable educational offerings that build bridges between different cultures and make a valuable contribution to social participation.
