Description
The Ingrid zu Solms Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, interest groups, public institutions, and companies nationwide that independently carry out projects in the fields of science, culture, research & innovation, children and youth, as well as the promotion of women. The focus is on supporting initiatives of other organizations whose goals align with the foundation’s guidelines, whether in art and media, human rights, or social work. Funding is provided as a one-time grant and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Priority is given to projects with clearly defined objectives, transparent financing structures, and a high degree of sustainability, which demonstrably contribute to long-term impact in the specified thematic areas. Special attention is paid to expert project supervision and transparent budget planning to ensure effective results with minimal administrative costs.
Interested organizations must submit a detailed project description including a comprehensive budget and general financing evidence when applying. A prerequisite for funding is also proof that administrative costs do not exceed 18% of the total budget and that the foundation’s name is acknowledged in the project. Evaluation criteria particularly include the conceptual clarity of the project, alignment with the foundation’s goals, quality of project management, and evidence of sustainability. Applications may be submitted at any time; the foundation reviews them continuously and decides promptly on funding. Through this targeted financial support, innovative and forward-looking projects are promoted that make a sustainable contribution to society.
