Description

The funding supports cross-border and transnational cooperation projects based in the state of Carinthia within the framework of the INTERREG VI A–C programs 2021–2027. Public institutions, companies, non-profit organizations, start-ups, and educational institutions can apply for a grant for the national co-financing of the ERDF shares. Projects with partners from Slovenia, Italy, or the transnational programs Alpine Space, Central Europe, and Danube are eligible for funding. Thematically, the funding offer covers regional development, development cooperation, as well as agriculture and rural development. Applications can be submitted continuously until the end of 2027; approval requires that the full application or the stage-2 application has not yet been submitted.

The funding objective is the partial financing of eligible costs by the state of Carinthia as a grant towards the ERDF co-financing contributions. The grant amounts to up to 15% of the total costs of the Carinthian project partner for cross-border projects and up to 10% for transnational projects. Key award criteria are the contribution to achieving Carinthia’s strategic goals, the degree of cooperation, and the added value of the collaboration. Eligible expenses include all costs eligible under ERDF co-financing. Project partners are encouraged to align their project ideas early on with the funding policy objectives to ensure a high substantive contribution to regional benefits and the strengthening of cross-border networks.
