Funding of projects for inclusion, participation, and awareness-raising

The state of Lower Saxony continuously provides financial resources as grants for civil society initiatives that promote inclusion, participation, and awareness-raising for people with disabilities. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, as well as public institutions with headquarters or operational sites in Lower Saxony. Projects should aim to build inclusive structures, strengthen participation in everyday life, culture, and the workplace, and raise societal awareness of the concerns of people with disabilities. In the evaluation process, the degree of involvement of the target group, the sustainability of the measures, as well as the potential for innovation and sensitization play a decisive role.

Interested applicants may submit their funding applications at any time to the Lower Saxony State Office for Social Affairs, Youth, and Family. The State Office provides professional advice and approves grants within the framework of available budgetary funds. The funding supports projects of various orientations, from educational workshops to barrier-free events to digital platforms that create meeting spaces and initiate dialogues. The continuous submission option allows for flexible scheduling and timely implementation of projects.
