Funding of Regional Managements of Future Regions in Lower Saxony

The program "Support for Regional Managements of Future Regions in Lower Saxony" assists municipalities, municipal associations, as well as other regional actors and organizations in establishing and further developing expert structures for development processes. Through a grant model, the measure aims to professionalize and network regional managements in officially designated future regions. By promoting sustainable regional development, increasing value creation, and strengthening local cohesion, new impulses are set for infrastructure projects, business financing, and rural development strategies. Applications can be submitted continuously to the Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank) – a flexible allocation that responds promptly to regional needs.

Eligible for funding are institutions with headquarters or verifiable activities in Lower Saxony that operate within a designated future region. Eligible costs include personnel expenses, material and travel costs, with feasibility and relevance to regional development, sustainability aspects, as well as the potential for networking and cooperation being central in the selection process. To apply, a letter of application, a detailed project description, and a financing and budget plan are required. The NBank supports and advises project proposals competitively neutrally and independently on behalf of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Federal and European Affairs and Regional Development.
