Description
The promotion of sports umbrella organizations in Styria strengthens the state umbrella associations ASKÖ, ASVÖ, and SPORTUNION through an annual total grant, of which 40% is allocated for administrative support and the maintenance as well as development of a professional, comprehensive club network. The remaining 60% of the funds directly support member clubs and projects: these include founding, construction, and equipment subsidies, training and further education costs, travel expense reimbursements for championship participation, elite sports promotion, and competition grants. This not only consolidates the structure of the umbrella organizations but also sustainably supports local club work in all regions of Styria.
Eligible for funding are Styrian state umbrella organizations or other clubs recognized as interest groups. Applications can be submitted continuously without deadline (valid since 20.11.2017) using the form “Sports Promotion Application” to the Office of the Styrian State Government, Department 9 Culture, Europe, Sports, Sports Division. Approval is based on the availability of sports promotion funds and valid resolutions of the state government; processing is carried out according to the framework guidelines of the State of Styria. Requirements and detailed regulations for supported measures are defined by the respective umbrella organizations. Original receipts, invoices, and proof of payment must be submitted upon request. This funding offer creates attractive framework conditions for sporting engagement at regional and state-wide levels.
