Description
Funding for transport and mobility projects in Styria supports infrastructure initiatives that improve the modal split in favor of public transport and non-motorized individual transport. The aim is to invest in railway infrastructure, local transport hubs, park-and-ride facilities, bus stations, bicycle paths, as well as additional mobility initiatives. With a continuously available, fee-free application, transport companies, municipalities, and non-profit organizations can implement innovative projects that contribute to increasing the use of environmentally friendly modes of transport. Grants are awarded based on existing legal frameworks and disbursed upon submission of original invoices and all official permits. This promotes a sustainable mobility strategy within the framework of the Styrian overall transport program and national as well as EU directives.
Eligible for funding are companies, public institutions, and non-profit organizations with headquarters or operational areas in Styria that plan and implement measures to increase the share of public transport or cycling and walking traffic.
