Description
Funding Program for Heat Pump Connection to Cold Heat Networks in North Rhine-Westphalia is aimed at municipalities, public-law institutions, companies, cooperatives, educational and non-profit organizations, as well as private individuals. The agenda focuses on increasing energy and cost efficiency through the installation of highly efficient heat pump systems and their customer-side connection to cold heat networks. Within the framework of the BEG individual measures, up to 25% of eligible costs are subsidized, but no more than €1,500 per system. The funding not only supports heat generation from renewable sources but also makes an important contribution to the energy transition in NRW. Eligible applicants must use listed or eligible systems, avoid premature commencement of measures, and submit the application online via the progres.nrw portal before awarding the contract. The guideline is valid until June 30, 2027, providing ample planning scope for the future-oriented heat transition.
The program addresses a broad spectrum of target groups – from individuals and condominium owners to craft, commercial, and industrial enterprises, as well as public authorities and educational institutions. Eligible for funding are the heat pump itself, all installation and connection work, as well as all expenses for the customer-side connection. Ineligible are measures started prematurely, self-performed work without a professional contractor, and non-listed systems. The application process is straightforward and online; after positive evaluation, the grant approval is issued. A final proof of use and compliance with technical minimum requirements ensure the appropriate use of funds. This realizes a sustainable heat concept that effectively advances local climate protection goals in North Rhine-Westphalia.
