Description

Funding for Child Education and Care Projects in Salzburg
The State of Salzburg continuously provides financial resources to private non-profit organizations as well as to the State’s Parent Service Office to strengthen innovative initiatives in child education and care. Special grants support projects that expand educational offerings and enhance family support services. At the same time, personnel costs and necessary material expenses of the Parent Service Office are reimbursed to ensure high-quality counseling and support for parents. Funding is provided as a direct grant and can be applied for at any time – indefinitely since 01.01.2023. A prerequisite is compliance with the General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding by the State of Salzburg, internal agreements, a cooperation contract with the Salzburger Bildungswerk (Forum Familie), as well as the regulations of the Salzburg Child Education and Care Act 2019 (S.KBBG as amended).

Eligible Expenses and Application Procedure
Eligible costs particularly include personnel resources and material expenses necessary for the operation and further development of child education and care facilities. Applying institutions must be registered as private, non-profit providers or provide services within the framework of the State’s Parent Service Office. A formal application including a budget plan and proof of fund usage must be submitted to the Office of the Salzburg State Government, Department of Culture, Education, Society and Sports, Division for Legal Affairs, Supervision and Funding of Child Education and Care Facilities. The continuous funding opportunity creates planning security and offers providers the chance to implement demand-oriented educational services sustainably.
