Description

The De minimis aid for the promotion of targeted training and further education in companies is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with headquarters or business premises in Burgenland. Funding is provided for individual, practice-oriented educational measures offered by certified training institutes, which aim to strengthen management qualifications and increase competitiveness. Eligible are external training costs up to a calculation basis of €20,000 per calendar year. The aid amounts to 50% of the eligible expenses, i.e., a maximum of €10,000 per company per year. A prerequisite is a fully insured employment relationship of the participating employees and their registration with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund in Burgenland. Educational measures that have already started before the application is submitted are excluded from funding. The funding amount is based on the EU De minimis regulations, which govern the cumulation of aid within a rolling three-year period and set a maximum sum of €300,000 per company.

Applications must be submitted using the official application form and the associated action guideline before the start of the measure to Wirtschaftsagentur Burgenland GmbH. After a positive decision by the funding commission and approval by the state government, a declaration of commitment must be signed. Payment is made after the successful completion of the training and submission of all evidence within six months of the application submission. The submission deadline is December 31, 2027. The objective of this funding initiative is to support Burgenland’s companies in their further development, to open up new growth perspectives, and to sustainably secure highly qualified jobs.
