Description
Non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations in the state of Salzburg may apply for financial grants for projects, consulting and support services, as well as for social institutions under certain conditions, provided there is no direct legal basis or other financial coverage. The state of Salzburg thus supports initiatives that provide subsidiary services in the social sector – ranging from integration programs to assistance for disadvantaged groups. The continuous allocation of funds enables reliable planning, while adherence to the General Guidelines for the Granting of Subsidies by the State of Salzburg ensures the sustainability and quality of the funded projects.
Applications must be submitted by June 30 for the following year, and the proof of use must be submitted no later than March 31. Furthermore, consent to the audit of financial management by the state government, authorized third parties, or the Salzburg State Audit Office is required. The complete application dossier includes: the completed grant application, the most recent annual financial statement (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, or income-expenditure statement), the budget for the upcoming year, and in the case of initial applications, the statutes or bylaws. This is supplemented by detailed project descriptions, cost estimates, and a planned cost calculation. Additional documents arise from the relevant funding guidelines, which ensure transparent processing and purpose-oriented use of funds.
