Description
The funding measure in Upper Austria is aimed at municipalities, water associations, water cooperatives, as well as natural and legal persons predominantly in public ownership or for own use. Funding is provided for the construction and reinvestment in wastewater disposal and sludge treatment facilities, the establishment of biogas utilization facilities for own use, measures for inter-municipal cooperation, and the preparation of a digital pipeline information system based on camera-guided condition surveys. Additionally, restoration measures following natural disasters and entry participation fees for wastewater benchmarking by ÖWAV are considered. Applications can be submitted continuously and without time limitation since 01.01.2013.
The funding instrument grants a one-time subsidy of up to 20% of the eligible investment costs. Prerequisites are measures in accordance with federal and state funding guidelines for municipal water management, a positive assessment by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH, and compliance with the Upper Austria state guidelines. Eligible expenses include facility construction, reinvestment, inter-municipal cooperation, digital pipeline information systems, restoration after disasters, and benchmarking fees. Non-eligible expenses include, among others, thermal sludge drying and real estate acquisitions. For the application, among other documents, a fully completed application form, a cost and performance calculation, invoice proofs, a camera inspection report, and the assessment letter from KPC must be submitted.
