Description

The program promotes inter-municipal and thematic networking within the framework of the Local Agenda 21 in Upper Austria and supports initiatives working towards a future-oriented development. Eligible for funding are municipalities, municipal associations, cooperations as well as natural and legal persons and associations of persons whose objectives align with the goals of Agenda 21. Applicants may be public institutions, private individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, other associations, and companies. Thematically, the funding ranges from commitment to social cohesion and democracy, through environmental, nature, and climate protection, to education for sustainable development, regional and agricultural promotion, energy efficiency, work & social affairs, as well as consulting and business financing. The goal is the exchange of experiences, the development of scalable models, and the facilitation of innovative future processes.

The grant amount is up to 75% of the eligible expenses with a maximum project duration of 24 months. Eligible costs particularly include process facilitation and moderation, fees for consultants and experts, event costs, printing and publication costs, public relations, room and equipment rentals, as well as postage and shipping costs. Non-eligible are expenses for administrative personnel, office and consumable supplies, hospitality costs, discounts and cash discounts, input VAT, depreciation, allowances, or interest. To apply, a completed funding application including a declaration of commitment, a cost calculation, and a project data sheet are required. Professional qualification for Agenda 21 processes as well as implementation in the rural area of Upper Austria must be demonstrated. Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis.
