Description
The funding instrument in Carinthia is aimed at legal entities such as associations, companies, foundations, cooperatives, public institutions, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. The objective of this initiative is to promote projects and events related to the Slovenian ethnic group in order to strengthen effective coexistence between the majority and minority populations. The focus is on reinforcing the Slovenian-speaking cultural heritage and fostering intercultural encounters in the region. A wide range of initiatives are supported in the fields of culture, social cohesion & democracy, culture & media, as well as work & social affairs. In addition to cultural events, publications and subject-specific acquisitions are also funded. Applications can be submitted continuously, as there is no fixed application deadline, thereby offering flexible funding opportunities for projects of varying sizes.
The funding is granted as a subsidy and covers expenses for project and event costs, publications, as well as acquisition costs. Applicants must submit an application form with a financing plan as well as a subsidy declaration with a funding commitment. The professional review and approval are carried out by the Carinthian State Government, Department 1 – State Office Directorate. A usage report must be submitted by a specified deadline, during which original invoices corresponding to the granted funds are reviewed and invalidated. Forms and further information are available via the official state portals. These regulations create transparent framework conditions to implement projects related to the Slovenian ethnic group professionally and sustainably. The continuous allocation structure enables a timely project start.
