Description
The funding initiative in Upper Austria is aimed at non-profit interest groups or other associations and supports the Upper Austrian Civil Protection Association in covering the ongoing expenses in disaster protection as well as in the area of work & social affairs. The goal is to strengthen the operational capability and resilience of civil protection organizations and to optimally prepare the community for potential crisis situations. With an annual volume of around 200,000 euros, the program significantly contributes to the financial stability of disaster protection services. Funding is granted as a grant and can be flexibly used for all ongoing operating costs. Applications are free of charge and can be submitted at any time without statutory deadlines.
For the funding application, an informal justification, the official form of the funding declaration, a current activity report, a strategic annual forecast, and an annual budget must be submitted. Applicants declare their acceptance of the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria and commit to the economical, efficient, and purpose-bound use of funds. In the event of misuse, a repayment obligation including interest applies, whereby proper use is verified based on receipts and, if necessary, supplementary financing plans. The Directorate of Internal Affairs and Municipalities of the State of Upper Austria is responsible for processing and ensures a thorough review of all documents.
