Funding for Youth according to General Funding Guidelines

In the state of Salzburg, this funding provides non-profit organizations, interest groups, other associations, and public institutions the opportunity to sustainably strengthen youth organizations, youth initiatives, youth centers, and young people up to 30 years of age in their usual place of residence. Projects and events in the field of extracurricular youth work are supported with a direct grant, focusing on voluntariness, participation, and self-determination. The goal is to promote active participation of young people in public life, consolidate their social integration, and encourage democratic engagement. Special emphasis is placed on measures that promote social inclusion, professional skills development, and democratic participation in the thematic areas of children and youth, social affairs, as well as work & social issues.

Applications can be submitted continuously; no deadline is specified. A prerequisite for approval is the usual residence of the target group in the state of Salzburg as well as sponsorship as a youth organization, initiative, or center. Project objectives must be clearly assignable to the area of extracurricular youth work, with the target group not exceeding a maximum age of 30 years. The proof of use must be accompanied by standardized forms, an income/expense statement or annual financial statement, as well as a detailed cost breakdown with supporting documents. This transparent accounting ensures efficient use of funds and allows continuous adjustment to demand-oriented developments in the youth sector. The funding makes a significant contribution to strengthening young actors and contributes to the vibrant shaping of social coexistence in Salzburg.
