Description
The general youth funding guideline of the state of Salzburg supports projects, events, and structural costs of youth organizations, youth initiatives, youth centers, as well as individuals up to 30 years of age with permanent residence in the state of Salzburg. Applicants from associations, companies, non-profit organizations, private individuals, or public institutions can request financial support in the form of a grant at any time. The aim is to strengthen social cohesion, promote democratic participation, and enable young people to lead self-determined lives. Through sustainable investment in fees, materials, room rentals, personnel, and material costs, the commitment of young people is made visible and tangible. The funding contributes to regional infrastructure and opens low-threshold access to educational and counseling services.
The funding amount is generally between 25% and 50% of the eligible total expenses and is based on cooperative project implementations as well as gender-equitable offerings. Applications can be submitted at any time, but no later than two months before the project start or, for annual funding, by June 30 of the previous year. Evaluation criteria include, among others, a balanced distribution of funds across regions, collaboration with partners, and compliance with gender mainstreaming principles. The following documents must be submitted: a fully completed funding application, a meaningful concept or a detailed description of the planned activity, and a binding budget plan. After a positive decision, payment and accounting modalities will be established in writing. Due to the ongoing funding opportunities, young people and organizations can plan their projects flexibly and sustainably shape participation in public life in the state of Salzburg.
