Description
The funding is aimed at non-profit scientific associations and institutions of particular importance to the research location Salzburg, whose activities have a supraregional to international impact. In the form of a non-repayable grant, both ongoing operations and individual, clearly time-limited projects or events can be supported. Applications are accepted throughout the year and require compliance with the General Guidelines for Funding from the State of Salzburg. Key evaluation criteria include the scientific quality and relevance of the objectives, the professional qualifications of the project participants, as well as a coherent project plan with a comprehensible transfer concept.
Interested organizations submit the general funding application along with a detailed project description including a cost and financing plan, and provide information on project partners, location, and timeframe. Department 1: Economy, Tourism and Municipalities in the Office of the Salzburg State Government is responsible for professional supervision and decision-making. After a positive funding commitment, proof of use must be submitted by March 31 of the following year; a random check of the receipts ensures proper use of funds. The objective of the funding measure is to sustainably transfer innovative research results into the economy and society, strengthen the Salzburg science system, and create long-term visible added value for the region.
