Description

The Fund for Combating and Raising Awareness of Antisemitism of the non-profit Hertie Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations and public institutions operating throughout Germany that implement innovative projects for the research and combat of antisemitism as well as for the strengthening of Jewish life. Projects are supported in the fields of education and prevention, digital counter-strategies, and culture of remembrance and historical awareness. Special attention is given to projects that develop impactful formats to engage and sensitize young people. Whether interactive workshops in schools, participatory online platforms, artistic memorial sites, or media-supported dialogue offerings – each initiative should contribute to awareness-raising and make a sustainable contribution to social cohesion. The ongoing call for proposals allows for flexible submissions, requiring a meaningful project description, a detailed financing plan, and proof of non-profit status.

In selecting the supported initiatives, the Hertie Foundation particularly evaluates the level of innovation, demonstrable effectiveness, and reach among young target groups. The goal is to support effective models that sustainably curb antisemitism and make Jewish life visible. With this fund, the foundation underscores its historical responsibility as well as its commitment to an open society in which diversity, tolerance, and democratic values are lived. Through continuous funding opportunities, project sponsors can quickly establish partnerships and flexibly further develop their offerings – always with the aim of decisively countering hate and prejudice and promoting Jewish life in Germany.
