Educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and public agencies can apply for grants of up to €200,000 with full funding coverage. Requirements include nationwide relevance, a verifiable own contribution, and the exclusion of public federal funds in the financing plan. Only newly designed projects that have not yet started are eligible for funding. Evaluation criteria particularly include practical relevance, degree of innovation, and transferability to other regions. The target group comprises professionals, associations, and research institutions aiming to contribute to the advancement of child and youth welfare through their projects.
For the application, a meaningful project description (maximum one DIN A4 page), a detailed cost and financing plan, and the application form for practice research are required. Documents must be submitted both by post and as scanned copies. Applications are reviewed twice a year: the deadlines are March 26 and September 24 (next deadline: September 24, 2026). The foundation’s members decide on the allocation of funds based on solid practical experience. Interested applicants receive free consultation on concept development in advance.
