Description

The program Housing Assistance for People with Disabilities in Styria offers a statewide, continuously available grant funding for privately housed people with disabilities who do not utilize residential housing assistance according to § 18. Through mobile housing support, individual skills and qualifications are promoted so that participants can independently manage everyday tasks and improve their quality of life in their own household. The goal is to sustainably strengthen personal autonomy and enhance social participation. Applications are possible at any time from 01.01.2026 – there is no fixed deadline.

Eligible for funding are persons with a non-temporary impairment of physical function, intellectual ability, mental health, or sensory functions, who can prove their main residence in Styria and possess EEA/Swiss citizenship or a corresponding residence permit. A minimum residence duration of more than three months is required. The application must be submitted using the form “Application for Assistance under the Styrian Disability Act.” This form can be obtained free of charge from the responsible district authorities. Department 11 Social Affairs, Labor, and Integration of the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government manages the allocation and administration of the funds and ensures professional support for the beneficiaries. The program is aimed at all who live in their own household or in a shared apartment and seek greater independence in everyday life through targeted support.
