Description

In the federal state of Salzburg, an ongoing grant measure enables comprehensive cost coverage for vocational training and work training for people with disabilities. It covers not only course fees, examination and teaching material costs, but also supervision and organizational expenses. The services are provided by specialized institutions for assistance with participation, which act as recognized providers in accordance with § 12 of the Salzburg Participation Act. As a direct funding measure, this support significantly contributes to reducing barriers in professional development and creating sustainable prospects for integration into the primary labor market.

The target group of this funding are persons with a disability determined in accordance with the Salzburg Participation Act, who hold Austrian citizenship or an equivalent residence permit and have had their main residence in the state of Salzburg for at least three years. An exclusion criterion is the receipt of comparable benefits from other statutory, regulatory, or contractual provisions. A prerequisite for the application is timely submission before the start of the measure; subsequent assistance is not possible. To verify the funding requirements, among other documents, registration certificates, proof of income, evidence of care allowance receipt, and, if applicable, proof of lawful representation must be submitted. Through this targeted funding, participants receive the necessary framework conditions to expand their skills and achieve long-term professional integration.
