Private individuals with their main residence in Styria and citizenship or residence permit in accordance with the provisions of the Styrian Disability Act can submit applications from 01.01.2026. The program aims to enable people with physical, intellectual, psychological, or sensory impairments to receive education tailored to their abilities and inclinations. The funding of distributive grants contributes to ensuring equal opportunities for development as well as social participation of children and adolescents.

100% of the necessary expenses for early intervention, care, and support in nurseries, (special education) kindergartens, and after-school care centers, as well as the incurred travel costs for utilizing these services and for school assistance, are funded. A prerequisite is an uninterrupted stay of more than three months in Styria. A fully completed application for assistance under the Styrian Disability Act must be submitted to the responsible district authority. Department 11 Social Affairs, Labor and Integration of the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government ensures the processing of funding applications and supervises the proof of use. Through this measure, legal guardians and supporting institutions receive reliable financing to implement and sustainably secure individually tailored support services for people with disabilities.
