Description
Aids Pool for Students enables the needs-based provision of school-age children and adolescents with recognized disability status in Carinthia. Public institutions and non-profit organizations can apply for a grant at any time to procure educational or technical aids. The objective is to make teaching barrier-free and to realize equal opportunities in accordance with § 15 para. 1 lit. g of the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act (K-ChG). The acquired devices and materials remain the property of the State of Carinthia and are efficiently distributed through a central carrier pool. Funding areas include children and adolescents, education, labor & social affairs, as well as training & further education.
Eligible costs include not only acquisition costs but also personnel costs for processing by the carrier. A prerequisite for funding is a formal application by the carrier including a concrete needs report, proof of the disability concept according to § 2 K-ChG, fulfillment of personal requirements according to § 5 K-ChG (Austrian citizenship, asylum entitlement, etc.), as well as existing compulsory schooling. The following documents must be submitted: proof of disability, proof of personal requirements, the completed aids pool application, the invoice for the aid, and an informal needs report. An invoice audit by the state guarantees transparent use of funds. Applications can be submitted without a deadline, ensuring continuous access to funding.
