Description

The Assistive Devices Pool for Students in Carinthia supports non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions in the needs-based procurement of special teaching aids for school-age children and adolescents. According to § 15 para. 1 lit. g of the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act (K-ChG), the funds remain the property of the State of Carinthia and are centrally managed. Funding is provided in the form of a grant for the acquisition of the assistive devices as well as for the personnel costs of processing by the providers. Applications can be submitted continuously and promote equitable participation in lessons by specifically addressing individual learning needs.

The program aims to strengthen educational equity and ensure the active learning success of all students regardless of financial means. Participating institutions submit the completed application form GS-L73 and demonstrate, as part of their in-kind contribution obligation, that the assistive devices comply with legal requirements. Direct payment of invoices is made by the State of Carinthia to the supplier, while the grant recipients receive separate funding for administration. This straightforward and continuously available funding creates equal conditions for everyday school life and promotes the sustainable development of young people in the Carinthia region.
