IBG Grants for Business Start-ups

The IBG grants for business start-ups are aimed at micro and small enterprises with a place of business in Saxony-Anhalt. The equity participation program provides silent or open participations as minority stakes of up to 25% of the equity capital to enable research and development activities, adaptation developments up to market launch, as well as growth financing. The focus is on topics such as business financing, consulting, start-ups, as well as research and innovation. Founders benefit not only from financial support but also from integration into a network of experienced investors and experts. Eligible to apply are micro and small enterprises according to the EU SME definition, whose registration in the commercial register is no longer than five years ago and which maintain a place of business in Saxony-Anhalt. Excluded are companies that have already distributed profits, taken over operations, or have been formed through mergers. Required documents include the IBG application form, the business plan including investment and cost plan, as well as a detailed financing plan. Eligible expenses cover research and development work, prototype and adaptation developments up to market maturity, as well as support measures for market development and growth strategies. Thanks to the ongoing funding opportunity, applications can be submitted at any time before the project start. After formal and technical review, IBG Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt mbH issues a decision on the approval.
