Description

The “intensive support” in Tyrol is offered as a grant to companies and non-profit organizations that provide professional support to people with disabilities who require the highest level of assistance in day and/or residential structures. The goal is to ensure tailored, resource-oriented support that promotes integration in group settings and strengthens the self-determination of the individuals being cared for. The services can be applied for continuously and are granted for a maximum period of five years. The support includes an individual one-on-one setting with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 60 hours per week, focused on the priorities of day structure and living arrangements excluding day structure (§ 12 para. 2 lit. c TTHG). Specifically, the offer includes accompaniment, basic care, competence development, as well as communication support in inpatient or outpatient settings.

Funding is provided for persons with disabilities according to § 3 lit. a TTHG, who are equivalent to Austrian citizens and have their main residence in Tyrol. A prerequisite is that two or more criteria such as self-endangering or endangering others, severe behavioral abnormalities, or aggression are present and confirmed by a specialist medical report. Another funding focus is on the prospect of actually improving social participation, as well as active involvement in the application and procedural process. As proof, the application forms for the provision of services under the Tyrolean Participation Act must be submitted. Applications can be made at any time; the start of services can begin no earlier than the month of application submission. This funding opportunity supports providers of in-kind services in ensuring the highest level of individual support and empowerment.
