Description

Investment funding for facilities, services, and offerings for people with disabilities in Saxony is aimed at public institutions, interest groups, and associations wishing to invest in barrier-free and social infrastructure. Grants of up to 80% (up to 90% for institutions operating nationwide) support new construction, renovation, modernization, as well as the maintenance of necessary services for people with disabilities, mental illnesses, or addiction disorders. The minimum funding amount is €2,500 for non-profit organizations and €10,000 for municipal administrations. The goal is to increase participation by expanding publicly accessible, barrier-free designed spaces.

Eligible recipients are those who can prove ownership or a long-term hereditary building right to the relevant buildings and submit a written confirmation of need from the responsible district or independent city as well as from the Saxon Municipal Social Association. For workshops for disabled people, an additional confirmation from the Federal Employment Agency is required. A minimum own contribution of 10% and the prior utilization of other funding opportunities are further prerequisites. All expenses for new construction, renovation, modernization, maintenance of facilities, and barrier-free design of publicly accessible buildings are eligible for funding. To apply, a project description, a construction/space program, the confirmation of need, proof of ownership or hereditary building right, and a detailed financing plan must be submitted. Applications can be submitted continuously at any time, ensuring flexible implementation.
