Youth Education – Support for Non-Profit Organizations (Hans Weisser Foundation)

The Hans Weisser Foundation for the Promotion of Youth Education and Science supports non-profit organizations nationwide in assisting disadvantaged young people aged 15 to 25 during the transition from school to vocational training and employment. Instead of a standardized application process, the foundation relies on an individual introduction to personally understand project partners and initiatives. Funding is provided for initiatives that enable young people to successfully complete school and enter vocational training through mentoring, career orientation, learning support, and practical guidance. The focus is not only on developing professional skills but also on fostering an entrepreneurial personality within the social sector.

This grant program emphasizes clear impact and sustainable systemic integration. Evaluation criteria include focus on the target group, entrepreneurial thinking and action, the relevance of the initiative, as well as scalability and long-term positioning within the existing support network. Eligible for funding are non-profit associations, educational institutions, or interest groups with a viable concept for youth facing challenging starting conditions. Applications can be submitted at any time—following a personal exchange in which needs, implementation steps, and possible development stages are discussed jointly.
