Description
Just Transition Fund (JTF) – Business Promotion Uckermark 2025 strengthens small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Uckermark district during the EU funding period 2021–2027. The goal is to enable investments that support the transition from fossil fuels to climate-neutral economic structures. Funding is provided for productive investments in the establishment, capacity expansion, or diversification of business locations, as well as transformation consulting in the modules "Analysis" and "Implementation." The funding rate ranges from 35% to 70%, depending on the project and company size. SMEs must have a registered office in the Uckermark district and demonstrate that their planned productive investments contribute to reducing the ecological, social, and economic impacts of the coal phase-out. Applicants select a consulting firm accredited by the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB) for transformation consulting and submit their application via the ILB customer portal.
The consulting in the "Analysis" module comprises 5 to 10 days and serves to examine potential changes and necessary adjustments. The "Implementation" module (5 to 15 days) supports SMEs in the practical execution of their investment projects. Applications can be submitted from April 1, 2025. The funding guideline takes effect immediately upon publication and is valid until June 30, 2027. In addition to proof of SME status, a project description and financial plan are required for the application. After approval, the contract signing and commissioning mark the implementation period; funds are disbursed on a reimbursement basis. At the end of the project, a proof of use serves as the final accounting. The ILB supports project implementation with information on climate compatibility and transparency requirements.
