Description
Carinthian National Park Fund Hohe Tauern – Information and Awareness Raising supports creative projects and initiatives that deepen the understanding of the national park concept and the interaction between humans and the environment in Carinthia. Private individuals, sole proprietorships, partnerships and corporations, cooperatives as well as associations and organizations are eligible for funding, provided they are responsible for promotable measures in the fields of environmental and nature conservation, education for sustainable development, energy efficiency and climate protection, or vocational training and further education. Examples of funded activities include multimedia information campaigns, interactive excursions, workshops, or exhibitions that sustainably strengthen awareness of the valuable flora and fauna in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Special emphasis is placed on participatory formats that involve people of all ages and encourage environmentally conscious behavior.
The fund provides grants for the implementation, evaluation, and accounting of projects. Applications can be submitted at any time – project approval and final accounting must be presented at the time of application. This ensures a transparent and efficient process from concept development to final report. Funding is awarded based on the funding guidelines of the Carinthian National Park and Biosphere Park Act and is continuously open for applications. Interested project sponsors can thus plan and start flexibly. With this initiative, the State of Carinthia sets a sustainable impulse to keep the national park idea alive among the population and visitors and to inspire future generations to protect this unique habitat.
