Description
The Wanderjugend Foundation offers with the small grant up to €200 a straightforward funding instrument for all groups of the German Wanderjugend who are committed to youth hiking, nature experiences, or creative-cultural projects. Nationwide non-profit clubs and associations can submit an application at any time and usually receive a decision on approval within four weeks. The funding amount of up to €200 is paid out 100% as a grant and supports innovative, forward-looking, and creative initiatives that bring the Wanderjugend’s guiding principles to life. Model projects in the areas of child- and youth-appropriate hiking formats, environmentally friendly outdoor sports, musical-cultural leisure activities, nature and environmental protection, volunteer qualification, as well as international encounters are the focus of the evaluation.
Eligible for funding are youth groups of main clubs, state associations, state working groups, and at the federal level – provided they are members of a group within the German Wanderjugend. To apply, a completed application form, a brief description of the project, and a financing plan are required. Applications can be submitted at any time for projects up to €200; a simplified procedure without annual deadlines applies. Projects with a funding volume exceeding €200 must be applied for by October 31 of the previous year. With the small grant, the Wanderjugend Foundation enables volunteers to quickly put their ideas into action and to spread enthusiasm for youth hiking within the community.
