Description
The micro-grants and other subsidies from the UG 41 Mobility funds offer private individuals as well as non-profit and for-profit organizations throughout Austria flexible support for one-time or smaller projects in the mobility sector. The Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) provides grants for this purpose, which can be applied for at any time independently of ongoing call cycles. The aim is to promote innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly initiatives that align with the interests of the BMK – whether it be the installation of bicycle parking facilities, measures to improve accessibility in traffic areas, or local pilot projects for the mobility transition. Micro-grants are generally understood as one-off subsidies, the amount of which is not fixed but tailored to the needs of the respective project.
To receive these grants, the submission of a complete funding application is required, which complies with the General Federal Framework Guidelines. Furthermore, proof of appropriate use of the funds must be provided, and no other BMK funding may exist for the project. The decision is made flexibly at the discretion of the authority and is based on the General Federal Framework Guidelines. Funding applications can be submitted at any time, enabling rapid implementation of individual projects. Through these micro-grants, the BMK supports committed project sponsors in testing and implementing sustainable mobility solutions that contribute in the long term to reducing emissions and improving traffic quality in Austria.
