Description

The micro-grants and other subsidies from funds of UG 41 in the mobility sector support innovative mobility projects throughout Austria. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions can continuously submit applications to receive one-time grants. Projects are funded that align with the public or professional interests of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Innovation, Energy, Mobility, Technology and Industry (BMK) and address topics such as infrastructure and urban development. The focus is on projects that advance sustainable mobility solutions, optimize mobility services, or develop new concepts for traffic planning and management. A prerequisite is that the submitted project meets the BMK’s funding criteria and provides added value for transport infrastructure and the environment.

This funding instrument is characterized by its flexible application process: submissions can be made continuously, allowing participants to respond quickly to current demands. The grant is awarded as a one-time subsidy and enables uncomplicated financial support for small and medium-sized projects. The funding volume is not pre-budgeted, so unexpected innovations can also be considered. This model contributes to strengthening national mobility research as well as the practical implementation of new traffic solutions and promotes cooperation among various stakeholders. Interested project sponsors benefit from a neutral and efficient application process as well as the BMK’s expertise in the fields of mobility and infrastructure.
