Book Cooking Bus & Baking Bus

The initiative "Book Cooking Bus & Baking Bus" by the ESSEN • WISSEN Foundation Eildermann offers mobile workshops across Germany for nutritional education and health literacy for children, adolescents, and educational professionals. Through a specially equipped bus, practical cooking and baking courses are brought directly to educational institutions, kindergartens, schools, or social facilities. Organizations and individuals can continuously reserve this service by phone or online inquiry, thus easily implementing an interactive learning offer on healthy nutrition for their target groups. Funding is provided to educational institutions, non-profit and public organizations, as well as private individuals who wish to carry out educational and health projects for children and adolescents.

The focus is on strengthening food literacy through independent preparation and conscious engagement with nutritional basics. Participants experience vivid presentations in the cooking or baking bus, try out recipes, and receive methodological impulses for teaching or care practice. The foundation thus supports not only knowledge transfer but also promotes social skills, teamwork, and a health-conscious community.
