Co-financing of the INTERREG Bavaria-Austria Program

The co-financing program for the INTERREG Bavaria–Austria program strengthens cross-border cooperation and provides financial start-up support to project sponsors from Upper Austria. With a state budget totaling €0.3 million, public institutions, non-profit organizations, and companies are supported in participating in the EU-funded INTERREG program. The aim is to intensify exchange in the areas of regional development, development cooperation, as well as agriculture and rural development. Funding is provided as a grant and requires a completed audit of accounts; payments are made after verification of the proof of use.

Interested project sponsors must demonstrate their headquarters in Upper Austria and provide evidence of an ongoing or planned application within the INTERREG Austria–Bavaria program. Applications can be submitted continuously, ensuring flexible project planning. Through the financial complement to EU funds, the opportunity arises to successfully implement innovative and sustainable cross-border projects. The initiative not only promotes networking at the regional level but also creates lasting impulses for joint development along the Austrian-Bavarian border.
