Description
The co-financing of the EU INTERREG Austria–Czech Republic program offers Upper Austrian companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions an attractive grant opportunity for cross-border project implementation. Through state funds, project promoters from Upper Austria are supported in their participation in the INTERREG program. The aim is to strengthen the presence and efficiency of regional initiatives in the funding areas of regional development as well as agriculture & rural development, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the border region. The total funding volume amounts to 0.3 million euros and is continuously available, enabling flexible and long-term project planning. Payments are made following successful accounting verification, supplemented by reporting and, if applicable, on-site inspections in accordance with the general funding guidelines of the State of Upper Austria.
Participation requires an informal application prior to submission to the EU INTERREG Austria–Czech Republic program as well as a completed funding application. The funds are available without limitation from January 1, 2025, to ensure continuous project support. Upper Austrian project promoters working on innovative, cooperative initiatives in a cross-border context will find a tailored financing solution in this funding opportunity. Further information on the legal framework is available in the funding guidelines of the State of Upper Austria; the Regional Planning Department serves as the funding authority. This initiative facilitates access to European funding programs and promotes exchange and cooperation between Austria and the Czech Republic.
