Cultural Vouchers Burgenland

The "Cultural Vouchers Burgenland" program supports adults with their main residence in Burgenland in specifically investing in regional art and cultural offerings. Starting January 12, 2026, cultural vouchers can be purchased in a limited edition, with the state of Burgenland subsidizing 25% of the voucher value up to a maximum of €2,000 per calendar year. With a total budget of €150,000, the funding aims to strengthen value creation in the Burgenland art market, improve the income situation of artists and non-profit cultural associations, and provide incentives for the acquisition of artworks, participation in workshops or performances, and the purchase of literature by Burgenland authors.

Eligible participants are adults residing in Burgenland who redeem vouchers with participating cultural voucher partners. Eligible expenses include the purchase of artworks, admission fees for artistic workshops and performances, fees for artistic services, as well as the purchase of books and audiobooks by Burgenland authors. A valid cooperation agreement between the voucher partners and the funding agency is a prerequisite for redemption. The cultural vouchers will be issued until the limited edition is exhausted and can only be redeemed for cultural services that are publicly accessible and situated within a cultural context. Through this targeted funding, artists and cultural associations receive a reliable planning perspective, while the population is encouraged to engage actively with regional culture.
